Persimmon Ice Cream
IA small batch of local Persimmon Ice Cream (dairy and vegan) will be on the menu at all locations Friday, November 17th while supplies last! Ashley spun this with housemade jam using Lee’s One Fortune Farm Japanese Fuyu persimmons and a warming Appalachian spicebush berry and cinnamon blend. Fuyu Persimmon have a flavor profile similar to pear, dates, and brown sugar with hints of cinnamon. Spicebush berries, when dried and ground up, have sharp notes of pine resin, and fruity black pepper. For this time of year the combination of the two creates a warm and balanced flavor.
