Bountiful Cities Series
The Hop is very excited to introduce to our Online Store the "Bountiful Cities Series"! This will consist of regular, small-batch flavors made with ingredients grown and harvested from the local elementary school FEAST gardens! This will also be a way to help promote the food-related needs of our schools/students in Asheville and Buncombe County.
The very first Bountiful Cities Series flavor - Blueberry Purple Basil Ice Cream - consists of a combination of purple basil from Hall Fletcher Elementary garden & local blueberries and is swirled with homemade blueberry jam. For this release we will also be hosting a fundraiser from Monday 9/13 through Sunday 9/19 in The Hop Online Store for Bountiful Cities.
Since 2000 Bountiful Cities has promoted social justice and food sovereignty through hands-on educational programming, policy work, coalition building, urban agriculture installation, and community gardens. Working primarily in Asheville and Buncombe County, we envision abundant urban environments and food sovereign communities.
