Pop Bubble Tea Turns 1

520 means I Love You - Celebrating Pop's 1st Birthday on 5/20!

A year ago, on May 20th, 2022, Eva Peterson and Ashley Garrison were thrilled and honored to open Pop Bubble Tea, bringing authentic, high-quality Bubble Tea to Asheville. That day was specifically chosen, too. When spoken in Mandarin, the phrase “I love you” (wǒ ài nǐ) sounds very similar to 520 (wǔ èr yī). Because of that the equivalent date of May 20th has transformed into an annual celebration of love. At Pop, right from the start, we wanted to share love with all of you.

Pop Bubble Tea is located inside The Hop Ice Cream’s Merrimon Ave location.
